    1. Thank you Belinda for the kind review. In this fast-paced world we live in today, I believe we can find a sense of peace (and humor) from the simple life in the Appalachians of the 1900s. Much more to come for all of us to enjoy. Thanks again for your comment.- Ted

  3. Ted,
Thank you for this wonderful post. I am already eagerly awaiting your next one! I really love the family group picture – I found my grandparents (Nelson Smith and Phyllis Garman Smith) and my great-grandparents (Leon Garman and Lucy McPherson Garman). What a treasure – I just wish I knew who some of the other folks are! Can’t wait for the next post!

  4. Thanks Missy. Warms my heart to hear people have a “personal experience” on the blog. Makes it all worthwhile. I knew your great-grand parents well and went to school with Phyllis. I will keep writing as long as folks like you are reading. As of today 4/30/2018 we have had over 500 visitors to the blog and over 1100 views. The blog has been up only 12 days! Thank you again for taking the time to write a comment. Encourage others family or not to try out this blog.

  5. Ted, thank you so much. Seeing these pictures warm my heart. I am Granddaughter of Leon and Lucy. My mother was Thelma Garman their eldest daughter. Thank you again.
