After an absence of several years from the public and family he offered up the above quote—which leads me to start this article to assure all my readers that I am alive and well. So, why the lengthy period of time without writing another book or news about Echoes From Catawba in general? Read more…

I Live In Alabama But Love Those Mountains….Looking Forward To Reading Your Books About The Majestic Catawba Mountain and
Valleys….
Thank you Libby in Alabama. I do appreciate you taking time to comment, and very pleased that you enjoy my writings. This is a heartfelt passion for me to write about people, places and events in the Catawba Appalachians. Life in Catawba and in Craig county in the late 1800s and early 1900s would be almost identical. I am writing a full post on Craig County which will publish later this month. Later in the year I will do a post on Paint Bank which you probably know is also Craig County. Please let your cousins, uncle and friends in and around Craig County know about the Echoes website and my first book: Echoes From Catawba Volume 1. The Emporium in New Castle is carrying the book and can be purchased there. It is a real joy to hear from you.—–Ted
